You will need to enrol onto one of our courses.
Once you have been enrolled, your On Track journey will begin.
You will attend a 6 week program at the college of your choice.
Your journey will start with a 6 week program where you learn the basics of railway, and what it takes to be a rail engineer. This will be provided by an experienced railway expert, who will be your trainer.
You will learn how to fix common problems that the railway may present, and also learn how to use all new and different types of tooling to help aid you repair track faults.
On Track will even provide you with a Sponsor!
You will also have to complete a Drug and Alcohol test/ Medical to progress to the safety critical courses.
Once you have completed the 6 week program, you will then be placed onto a 2 Week Safety Critical Course. Here you will gain all of the necessary qualifications to work trackside.
Once you complete the On Track Journey you will be able to start working in the the railway industry as a qualified Track Operative.
For all this to happen we need you to meet the following:
1. You must turn up to class and be punctual
2. You must have an eagerness to learn
3. You must follow any rules and procedures that are required
4. You must be able to follow instructions from your trainer
5. You must carry out any assessments and return any written assignments within the allocated time
6. You must respond to any documentation requests from your sponsor
7. You must attend a Drug and Alcohol screening including a Medical screening
